Lips twitched, just faintly hinting the exasperation that had appeared in a burst of a sudden event. His black coffee was gone, or rather - it wasn’t where it was supposed to be. Not in the white cup, not running down his throat.
No, it had landed on his dress shirt. At least the cup was in one piece.
When the familiar shout rang through the hall, the captain immediately turned around towards his best friend. The exasperation was contained successfully, but his deep voice was still strained with a certain tension when he spoke and ended up pointing towards Bixlow’s babies who were flying in the air, wild.
“I don’t know what their issue is. They’ve been way too restless. I’m going to get changed. Talk to them.”

They had thought that they’d be undisturbed for just a few minutes. They had thought that none of their guild mates would seek out this hidden corner of the guild’s private outdoor area at this time. Though apparently this had been a foolish thought to think.
When hearing the familiar, high vox Freed and Laxus immediately parted from each other although it took a moment longer for the captain to withdraw his hands from the dragon slayer’s slightly bared stomach as he’d rested his palms against the skin, shirt ruffled up. His breath was still strained from the deep and lingering kiss they’d been sharing up until now and the sudden appearance of the young sky dragon slayer had him so caught off guard that a longer pause got created than necessary.
Hell, it wasn’t like they had been planning to go farther right here! It had simply been an urge to be somewhere quieter and more undisturbed, somewhere to go to share the one or other kiss and roaming touches. Nothing more, honest! Albeit this unnecessary pause could raise false assumptions.
Then again… Wendy didn’t seem to be thinking this far. Or she was just fooling them. Either way, Freed was the first to rediscover his voice once more. “Ah, we just wanted to take a short break from the ruckus inside and had some, uh, longing… for a little exchange of love.”
Oh crap that sounded shitty.

That wouldn’t be much fun now would it?” The iron dragon commented knowing that most likely Laxus would scoop Freed in his arms before it happen. Still he felt caution with his words were appropriate as a friend. His approach in this bar was random, but he wasn’t ashamed to be in a bar with any of his guild mates. Things may have been crazy with others get drunk, but it wasn’t worse than other shenigans he was forced into due to a stupid game that Erza came up with. He had blocked it from his mind being enterainted by Freed and Laxus.
Gajeel was having a nice time just enjoying his drink. Still sober enough to observe his surroundings, but he add small bits of iron to his drink as if they were ice cubes..His mind trying to push away any thoughts off getting close to anyone. Sure he held a few interest in people that were not part of Fairy Tail, but he wasn’t one to blab his mouth. So he remained quiet on that subject. He knew how rowdy his guild was so he rather leave it be. Once in a few moments he would sip his beer, but his gaze was drawn towards Freed who seemed in in blissful mood with is head drawn back or possibly walking on clouds and then at Laxus in his own little world. The dragon slayer was happy for them and hoped they were enjoying their lives together. He wondered if Bixlow and Ever Green still accompanied them on missions like the good days. The iron dragon knew nothing about married life, but he was sure the two love birds would wander off and enjoy some secret time with each other.
Slidng his fingers on his glass he took a sip and almost choked on the liquid upon hearing Freed’s words. “I’m sure he does… Your talking about sex games right? Perhaps you need to slow down on your drinks.”

No idea what Happy was talking about? Had Freed gone blind? To the little Exceed it was very clear that most of these photos were rather provocative to begin with. And upon closer inspection, Happy realized most of the photos were of…..Laxus?
Happy’s curiosity was going to be the death of him. Natsu really needed to get back from his mission and entertain the little exceed. There were only so many ways to torture Gray in the day and teasing Lucy had lost it’s spark since Natsu wasn’t around to take the backlash with Happy. The blue fluff ball didn’t think his stomach could handle another “Lucy Kick” to it.
Freed had the worst luck in the world, as he was the most convenient to turn to right now with the questions. And his nervous demeanor told Happy this was something that was making his skin crawl….the little fuzzy sadist was enjoying this. If Freed was going to deny it, Happy would state the obvious until he got answers. “You mean you don’t recognize these photos?” Happy pointed out the lewd pictures again…..”And why are so many of them of Laxus and no one else??”
It had been worth a try- or maybe not. In fact he was well aware that his poor attempt to distract from the situation was bound to fail and here he was paying the price for not being cautious enough and actually exchanging intimate pictures with his lightning dragon slayer.
“I don-” Freed just intended to start another attempt to explain or save himself somehow, albeit he quickly interrupted himself when Happy actually held some pictures, snatching them from his paws with a troubled expression.
“He’s my husband, I’m very well allowed to have pictures of him!” Though he wasn’t able to say these words without his cheeks heating up a little more. Honestly, what business did this Exceed have with his pictures anyway?! They were meant for his eyes only! … so perhaps he should have remembered to store them away safely again before leaving the house and forgetting that some of the pictures were actually with him. Grumbling to himself the captain averted his greenish blue gaze; at least Laxus wasn’t around. It was enough if Happy teased one of them.

Freed had no idea whether to be amused, impressed or just… keep standing there, deadpanning, as he listened to his husband raging and watched him abusing the fidget spinner. That poor item hadn’t done anything to Laxus and yet it ended up getting tossed away brutally.
It wasn’t this move that had the rune magician so torn between different reactions but rather the angry rambling and growls that spilled from the dragon slayer’s mouth and in the end he had troubles not to at least give a low single laugh when suddenly the other man turned and glared at him as if Freed was supposed to support and agree with him. This horrible horrible item, oh yes.
“It’s… Well…”
Huh. Thus far he kept his emotionless expression, silently stunned and at last feeling the disbelief and amusement slowly creeping to the surface. This was so utterly ironic, which is why a quiet snort escaped him before he continued on.
“They are supposed to keep you busy if you get nervous really quick, distract you from bad habits or soothe you.”
Obviously, with his husband, it had achieved the entire opposite… And suddenly Freed couldn’t help it anymore; a soft laughter slipped out of his mouth and he took a few steps closer just so he would be able to lean up and give his man a kiss, one hand raising to briefly run its fingers through blond hair.
“How did it manage to get you this worked up? You’re hopeless.”
